The Finest Blend of Finnish Melancholy and Melodic Metal est. 2015
Scars of Solitude is a quartet hailing from Central Finland. In their music a wide range of metal genres shake hands with lyrics dealing with self-reflection, -loathing and -destruction. When typical melodic metal bands come marching to the stage clad in armour and swords drawn like leather wearing heroes, Scars of Solitude does the exact opposite. There’s nothing heroic about them, just four guys on a mission to show you the futility of life through beautiful melodies and punchy grooves.
Scars of Solitude was formed in 2015 in Äänekoski and after various forms and numerous changes in the line up they have now found their own voice. With their debut album ‘Deformation’ under their belt -from an era with previous vocalists- they have played a good number of shows across Finland. But with the new coming in 2019 they have shown they are stronger, better and more able than ever on stage. The band has gained a reputation of a great live band both at their own shows and as an opening act for such bands as Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus for example. The band sure is best enjoyed live as their chemistry, humor and tight playing mix into – The Finest Blend of Finnish Melancholy and Melodic Metal.
